tell me about deposits...
- A non-refundable deposit is payable in advance of a wedding or large event booking in order to secure my services on the required date.
- Deposits are paid via bank transfer.
- Wedding & Event dates cannot be held without a deposit.
- This deposit will be deducted from the final Wedding/Event price on the day.
Payment
Payment for makeup services must be paid by cash or bank transfer. Unfortunately I do not take payment via cheque or PayPal.
Trial makeup is to be paid the day before or on the day of the trial.
Wedding day final payments are to be made 1 week prior to your date via bank transfer.

Trials
- As of 2023, Bridal trials will be held at my home in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
- Brides are able to bring 1 person to this trial.
- Should a bride wish to have more than 1 person present or if anyone else from the bridal party wishes to have a trial, I will travel to you. (see mileage questions)
What products do you use?
I only use premium & high-quality cosmetics, brands such as
TEMPTU, MAC, BOBBI BROWN, NARS, ILLAMASQUA, KIKO, CHARLOTTE TILBURY, P.LOUISE, KRYOLAN, URBAN DECAY & INGLOT.
These brands are designed to look good to the eye and crucially, to the camera as well. These products are also chosen to ensure that your makeup lasts all day and into the night.
Should you have any allergies or special requirements such as vegan or cruelty free these need to be made aware upon booking.

What happens on the day?
- I will arrive at the location at the pre-agreed time, allowing sufficient time to set-up and apply makeup to client(s).
- I may require assistance with my kit to the location upon arrival, this may be someone from the bridal party.
- Wedding day services I will leave up to 1 hour prior to your service commencing to allow time for dresses, photos and celebratory drinks. Should you wish for me to stay until you are leaving the door for touch ups, please inform me so I can factor this into my diary.
- As I work to a timescale it is important that the client(s) are ready for when I arrive to ensure a smooth running service.
Where do you travel to and do you charge for this?
- I will travel to a client’s home or wedding/event venue within a 10 mile radius from S40 Chesterfield without an additional travel expense.
- Distances beyond this will occur a mileage charge of 45p per mile. This will be calculated and agreed at the time of your quote
- Any additional charges, such as parking and/or bridge toll will be invoiced to the client, and applies to both trial and wedding/event dates.
Gift vouchers
- Vouchers are available in any amount you wish from £10 upwards.
- Please note these vouchers are valid for a period of 12 months from the date issued on the front of them. After this period, the voucher will have expired unless a special arrangement is made directly with myself.
- These gift vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash.
- Any vouchers that appear to have been tampered with in any way will not be accepted as payment of services rendered.
cancellations
- Wedding Cancellations made by clients must be made at least 10 working days before the date.
- Please note that deposits are non-refundable.
- In the unlikely event that I have cancel an appointment for any reason, then every effort will be made to re-schedule (where possible). If a re-schedule is not possible (for example, wedding makeup) then all monies paid in advance (less trial fee(s), if applicable) will be refunded in full and contact details given for an alternative makeup artist.
- Special occasion makeup cancellations within 24 hours will incur a 50% fee.
Health & Safety
- Due to the Covid-19 virus, extensive measures will be put in place in order to protect myself, kit and my clients.
These measures will be updated once further guidance has been issued.
- Should you have any allergies these need to be made aware upon booking.
- Should any members of the client's party become abusive, threatening, offensive and/or violent; I reserve the right to terminate the service without a refund.
- For reasons of Health and Safety, we ask that clients and their party do not smoke in the area during the makeup service being carried out.
- I will arrive with my own chair if required and a ring light. Therefore a secure plug socket will be required during the service. If you have chosen the Airbrush service, this will also require a second plug socket.
- As I work on a freelance basis, when attending your household or venue I will require a clean work surface for me to use to place my products and tools on. Where this is not possible alternative solutions can be made however this area should also be clean & tidy.
